Lobbying and cooperation

The Federation of  Northern Lapland municipalities (PLaky) is a lobbying and cooperation organisation of the municipalities of Inari, Sodankylä and Utsjoki. We promote the vitality and wellbeing of the region by means of active lobbying and actively participate in development projects that support the needs of the inhabitants and local businesses.

Three northern municipalities –
one common Northern Lapland

Finland’s northernmost sub-region – distinctive villages and local cultures. Arctic tourism, science and research, and rich soil offer opportunities for a variety of businesses and industries. The peace of the wilderness, the international pulse. Diverse business culture alongside a traditional way of life. This is what Northern Lapland is made of.
